The app

Kinetic runs on your PC. Your prompts, screenshots, projects and exported videos are stored on your computer and are not sent to us. There is no account. The app sends a few anonymous usage pings so we know it works for people: that it was opened for the first time, that a video was exported (its aspect ratio and whether it carried the free badge), that Pro was activated, and that the buy button was clicked. A ping contains the event, the app version and the approximate city and country derived from your connection. It carries no name, email, file content, prompt or device ID, and IP addresses are not stored.

When the app uses the internet

This website

This site is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without storing IP addresses. When you download the installer or click a buy button, we receive the same kind of anonymous event as above (event and approximate city and country). Downloads are served by GitHub Releases, which may log requests as described in GitHub's privacy statement.
